The Berlin-based medium-sized company volumondo was faced with the challenge of digitizing its core business and developing a sustainable strategy for the future. We enabled the company to transform into a holistic and digital manufacturing company with innovative product solutions.
The origin of volumondo is Voluma: a simple connector system that clamps various panel materials in an angle-stable manner and enables customers to design products themselves. Until now, the individual system parts were sold offline via catalog.
The new products follow our studio vision: user-centered and sustainable design that balances analog and digital. Applied to volumondo, this means that each product is build-to-order automated and can be easily assembled with just one tool.
The newly developed production process makes it possible to manufacture the components automatically in two steps using the CAD data. Each component is directly linked to its Digital Twin via QR code.

The entire product range will be sold directly via a B2B online store in the future. The processes of the B2B project business will be merged in an innovative online project center, thus enabling simple and digital project management.
